Sense or censor-bility
Given the choice, wouldja rather your comment be censored/abridged/rewritten or deleted entirely?
Trick question: you don't often get the choice!
Trick question squared: If there are no comments, it's moot. I hate the word moot.
(Yeah, yeah. Short post. Well, personally, I'd take deleted.)
By the way, this post will be deleted in 2 days. 'Nuff said.

It's my blog and I'm leaving a comment myself.
Btw, how dumb were you to write this post? Ten bucks says it ruffles some feathers, even though it shouldn't.
But then, ya can't help what people think, ya know. So whatever.
Shouldn't you be getting back to work now?
That's what I thought.
If at all possible, I prefer retaining a comment over deletion. I also admit that the ideal solution is to contact the person who commented and explain any concerns over the comment before determining to keep/delete/edit the comment. Timely contact, however, isn't always possible, and if the comment poses me concern, I'll opt for the editing.
Fortunately, for me, readership of my blog has substantially waned in the last couple months, so I don't really have this dilemma.
You really need to post more.
Interesting comment, zik. As both a blog owner and a blog commenter, I'm all about the deletion. I would probably contact the commenter in question before deleting, but then again, maybe I wouldn't. I just know I'd prefer not to be edited. At least, not until they start paying me and publishing me, in that order. :D
But really - pretend you're not the blog owner, you're the commenter (which is really to whom the question was posed). What is your preference then? Would you prefer to be deleted, or edited such that you sort of sound like a different person? And one who doesn't make much sense, since a majority of the comment may have been edited out?
Thanks for the comment!
If I'm the commenter, then I would stay on topic. I wouldn't say something about a non-related matter--{this post has been edited by the blog administrator.)
Interesting point. I think as a blog administrator, I would likely at least say that the comment has been edited. See example above.
Also, this whole post was supposed to be deleted a few days ago. I think it's outlived its usefulness, and frankly, I am only giving it a few more days.
More comments are welcome, however, they too will be gone with the wind.
Hey, I see ya edited my comment. That's cool. I don't have any problem with that.
Of course, if you delete this comment, then I guess nobody else will ever know I had no problem with it.
Then again, who reads your blog anyway!
Apparently, you read my blog. More than once a day.
